Esta preciosa perra es GALA. Durante mas de una semana la vimos deambular por los campos de Santa Brigida arrastrando sus patas penosamente, vimos que sufria con cada paso, pero tiene tanto, tanto miedo que no permitió que ninguna persona se le acercase a menos de 100 m.
This lovely girl is GALA. For over one week we saw her wandering trough the fields of Santa Brigida dragging her feet painfully, we saw her suffering with each step, but she is so afraid and she didn`t allow any person closer within 100 m.
Diese schöne Hündin ist GALA. Über eine Woche sahen wir sie durch die Felder Santa Brigidas wandern. Man konnte an ihrem zögerlichen, schleppenden Gang sehen, dass sie bei jedem Schritt Schmerzen litt, aber sie war dermaßen ängstlich, dass sie niemanden näher als 100 m an sich heran kommen ließ.
La vimos comer estiercol que habia sido retirado de las cuadras del ganado. Para comer se tiene que acostar en el suelo porque no aguanta el dolor en sus patas. Empezamos a dejarle comida y agua en varios puntos, para que al menos no tuviese que preocuparse en buscar alimento.
We saw her eat manure that had been removed from the stables of cattle. For eating she has to lie down on the floor because she can not stand the pain in her legs. We started to leave food and water at various points, so that at least she did not have to worry about searching food.
Wir sahen, wie sie den Kuhmist fraß, der aus den Viehställen kam. Um zu fressen musste sie sich auf den Boden legen, weil sie vor Schmerzen nicht stehen konnte. Wir fingen an Futter und Wasser an verschiedenen Stellen zu deponieren, damit sie sich wenigstens nicht um die Suche nach Futter sorgen musste.
Y al fin el viernes, una persona que tambien se estaba preocupando por ella, consiguió cogerla y nos la entrego. Queremos dar las gracias a Gerardo y a Aday por su ayuda.

Am Freitag konnte sie endlich von jemandem, der ebenfalls um sie besorgt war, eingefangen und uns übergeben werden. Wir danken Gerardo und Aday für ihre Hilfe.

Lo peor es que las roturas no son recientes, ya se han formado callo y calcificaciones, y todavía no sabemos si se pueden operar o no. En una de las patas tambien tiene los tendones rotos, de forma que la pezuña se le queda colgando.
We brought her directly to the veterinarian and........ SHE HAS TWO BROKEN LEGS!!!!
And the worst is that the breaks are not recently, there is already formed callus and calcification and until now we do not know if it is operable or not. In one of the legs the tendons are also ruptured in a way that the hoof is hanging.
Wir brachten sie sofort zum Tierarzt, und…… SIE HAT ZWEI VERLETZTE BEINE!!!
Das Schlimmste ist, dass die Verletzungen nicht frisch sind, sondern sich Verdickungen und Verkalkungen gebildet haben und wir wissen derzeit noch nicht, ob sie operiert werden muss. An einem Bein sind die Sehnen gerissen, deshalb hängt die Pfote.
Lo increible es que siendo una perra jovencisima, unos 10 meses, tiene los huesos muy descalcificados, no se sabe si por una mala alimentación. Pesa 19 k. y tambien le hicimos la prueba de filaria que resultó negativa.
The incredible thing is that being still a very young dog, about 10 months, she has very decalcified bones, it is unclear if this is for poor nutrition. She weighs 19 k. and we also tested her for heart-worm which was negative.
Das Unglaubliche daran ist, dass sie noch ein sehr junger Hund ist, schätzungsweise um die 10 Monate alt. Sie hat sehr kalkarme Knochen, die wahrscheinlich von der schlechten Ernährung herrühren. Sie wiegt 19 kg und der Test auf Herzwurm fiel negativ aus.
Lo que si hemos comprobado es que es la perra mas buena del mundo, pero tiene tanto miedo que solo con ponerle el collar, o subirla a la mesa del veterianrio, se hace pis o caca del miedo. Tambien sus pupilas estan dilatadas del terror que tiene.
What we did found out is that she is the best dog in the world but she is so afraid that only by putting the collar, or upload her on the table she is peeing or pooping of fear. Also her eyes are dilated from terror she is having.
Was wir herausgefunden haben ist, dass sie der liebste Hund der Welt ist. Aber sie ist dermaßen ängstlich, dass sie beim Halsband anlegen oder auf den Tisch beim Tierarzt heben vor Furcht pillert oder kackt. Auch ihre Pupillen weiten sich vor Panik.
Ahora está en una casa de acogida, con tratamiento para el dolor y para la descalcificación de sus huesos, y tambien un pienso especial.
En este fin de semana ha aceptado su familia de acogida bastante bien, pues ya come los mimitos en la mano, pero prefiere retirarse a su cuarto tranquila, y cuando se la va a visitar intenta esconderse el en rincón mas alejado.
Now she is in a foster home, with treatment for the pain and for decalcification her bones and also a special food.
In this weekend she accepted her foster family quiet well, because she is already let her cuddle and eats from the hand, but she prefers to be in her quiet room and when we are going to visit her, she is trying to hide in the corner most far away.
Jetzt ist sie in einer Pflegestelle, wo sie gegen die Schmerzen behandelt wird und Aufbaupräparate für die Knochen sowie Spezialfutter bekommt.
An diesem Wochenende hat sie sich ganz gut an ihre Pflegefamilie gewöhnt und frisst Leckerchen aus der Hand, aber zieht ihr ruhiges Eckchen vor. Wenn wir sie besuchen, versucht sie sich im hintersten Winkel zu verstecken.
¿que le ha pasado a la pobre GALA para estar así, fisica y mentalmente? No lo sabemos, pero tenemos que conseguir que su vida cambie y llegue a ser una perra feliz.
