KIKE , D.E.P. - R.I.F. - R.I.P.

Te has ido sabiendote querido. 🌈🌟💔

🌈🌟💔 Goodbye KIKE, you were a brave dog like few others and an example of improvement. You came to us at the worst moment of your life, after a year of dragging your badly injured body from an accident through the village of San Nicolás de Tolentino, with your skin and bones destroyed, it was a clean wound, the traumatologist had to repair it for you Amputate hind legs as much as possible so that you could live. We never understood why no one felt sorry for you and why no one offered you help. You had a foster home where they took care of you, but then Monica came into your life to take care of you forever and many years and dedicated all her effort and love to you. Despite everything you suffered in this life, you never lost your good humor, you were always ready to move forward and face the difficulties of your situation with joy and good humor. Today we couldn't do anything more for KIKE. After three days of hospitalization, the fatal moment has come. You left Monica, your human mom, devastated, but she also remembers all the happy moments you gave each other. You left knowing that you were loved very much. 🌈🌟💔

D . E . P. pequeño.

As from today, POCHOLO is not longer with us.......
As we informed before, he was found on the street, abandonated and without a chip and in a very bad condition. His fosterhome informed us directly that he was having problems with his respiration and as from the beginning he was on medication. Pocholo did not got better and every day he was worse, during the day he was in the clinic but the last few days he needed to stay there 24 hours. He got strong medicin to calm down a little the worse cough he was having. XR's showed that his condition was getting worse. Thanks to his fosterfamily , Gloria and Tito, Pocholo at least had a loving home. Thanks as well to Ayose, his veterinary , for trying to save him and caring for him.
R.I.P. small boy.

Nosotros no te olvidaremos nunca.  D.E.P. POMMES

POMMES was found on the streets in the south, completely alone, full of fleas and ticks and without a microchip. He was brought to GRANCANARIAPETS and his bloodtest was positive in the hartworm desease ( Fialaria). POMMES went through the treatment but after his last injections when we thought he got through the treatment he become to feel unwell. Several tests were made and even had to stay at the  Veterinary clinic with intensive care. They also said that his poor body wass full with lead bullets!
After a while POMMES was stable  again but still very very ill. But last weekend he became so badly ill that we had to decide to help him out of his suffering and able to find peace and rest.
All our thanks goes as well to your fosterfamily where you received, love, affection and care. We all will never forget you! R.I.P. POMMES

R.I.P. POMMES

Another sad case happened to this poor dog. It wass found close to the southcoast when volunteers from GRANCANARIA PETS walked by. The small dog wass very ill and could not stand up. First he grumbled a bit but when he realized that they only wanted to help him he allowed them to pick him up in a towel. When they got home they could gove him a better look and it wass for sure that he wass longer on the streets, withou any care. His furr wass knotted and wass full of parasites.
They gave him water and some food, but he was not abled to stand up for a longer time, not even able to make some steps. It seems that he was beaten, by a car maybe or who knows! After a short time this small dog passed away, moving his tail a little while the volunteers were speaking and pampering him. R.I.P small dog, we did not even got the time to do something for you or give you a proper name.

R.I.P kleine Mann.

RINGO: MAS DE UN AÑO BUSCANDO UN HOGAR - MORE THAN A YEAR LOOKING FOR A HOME - SUCHT SEIT 1 JAHR EIN ZUHAUSE

This handsome boy is called RINGO. He appeared, abandoned and without a chip, over one year ago. The person who found him tried to get him adopted in every way, he was in a kennel and in a foster home. But the foster family moved house and Ringo had to go back to the kennels.
RINGO is a very sociable dog, with both dogs and persons. He is mid-size to big and is 5 years old. He is very relaxed and he can live in a flat without braking anything.

She was good, sweet, submissive, life had mistreated her, on the street alone, pregnant and sick.
She arrived like this to us.

We have put all our efforts to cure her terminal illness heart-worm, ..............
but neither the volunteers nor the veterinarians could cure her.

We have put every effort to make her happy, ...............
That we could. During one and a half months she felt loved, protected, maintained.

But one and a half months of happiness is so little ..............How sorry we feel that we could not give you more, so much more, a long life full of happiness!!

She was scheduled for operation for life or death this week .... But she did not make it to the operation, she died in the arms of her fostermom.

We arrived to late to your life, Yamaha, and it hurts us so much ...........

He came to us in February this year. Some people found him abandoned, wandering aimlessly, on the street in the night, he had no microchip.

We took charge of him, and his foster family, Julio and Jesús, named him TOD. He integrated very well in the home, together with his friend Clipper. They got castrated together. The harmony between all was perfect, and the affection towards was growing every day more.

His heart-worm test was positive. The treatment got started, and there were signs that the heart-worm was well advanced. The treatment had to be lengthen very much to strengthen the heart, before injecting the dose that kills the larvae. His family gave him the maximum care, avoiding that he was moving or got tired. On the 28th of May they put the treatment. It looked like that everything went well..............

but after 5 days, suddenly, when he was very relaxed and happy in the arms of Julio, his heart stopped.

Our goodbye and our memory for little Tod. We did our best so you could be happy for many years, but we were only able to get it for you for 4 months.

Our thanks to his foster family, who are inconsolable for the moment.

TOD: OTRA ENTRADA EN GRAN CANARIA PETS - NEW ENTRANCE - NEUZUGANG

Some people found him in the night, alone on the street.
He was clean and had a good aspect. They took him to the closest guardian veterinarian.....
and they got a surprise when the veterinarian informed them that some other people came that same night with this same dog and they found out that he had no microchip.
It looks like that the people who found him first brought him back to the same place where they have found him. Thank god that the second people who found him, took him home and asked us for help.
Now TOD is in a foster home of Gran Canaria Pets. He is a Yorkshire boy, very good and goes along well with other dogs and people. Next week he will be castrated and prepared, so we can find him a good family.
