PIA: ENTRA EN GRAN CANARIA PETS - NEW ENTRANCE - NEUEN EINGANG

 Es una perrita preciosa, muy buena, pequeña de tamaño  y tranquila.  Es una mezcla de chiguagua y se llama PIA.
She is a beautiful little dog, very good and tranquil. She is chihuahua mix and is called PIA.
Sie ist eine schöne kleine Hundin, sehr gut und ruhig. Sie ist Chihuahua-Mix und heißt PIA.

 Ya tiene 6 años.  Era de una persona que se fué a vivir al extranjero, la dejó con sus padres, pero son mayores y ya no la pueden atender. Está sola en la terraza y no la han vuelto a llevar al veterinario desde que nació.
She is already 6 years old. She was from a person who went living abroad and left her with his parents, but they are older and can not take care of her. She was living alone on the roof-terrace and they never took her to the veterinarian since she was born. 
Sie ist schon 6 Jahre alt. Sie war von einer Person, die im Ausland leben ging, und ließ sie mit seinen Eltern, aber sie sind älter und können nicht um sie kümmern. Sie lebte allein auf der Dachterrasse und sie nie nahmen sie nie zum Tierarzt, zeit Sie geboren wurde.

 Por eso lo primero que hicimos fué una visita al veterinario.
So the first thing we did was visiting the veterinarian. 
Das erste, was wir taten, war ein Besuch an der Tierarzt.

 Ya tiene las primeras vacunas y la próxima semana volverá para esterilizar y limpieza dental.
She now has her first vaccines and the next week she will go back to be sterilized and a dental cleaning.
Sie hat jetzt ihre erste Impfungen und die nächste Woche geht sie zurück um sterilisiert zu werden und fur eine Zahnreinigung.

Está muy a gusto en su casa de acogida y pronto estará preparada para ser adoptada.
She is very comfortable in her foster home and soon she will be ready to be adopted. 
Sie fühlt sich sehr wohl in ihrer Pflegefamilie und bald wird sie bereit sein, angenommen zu werden.

 Un  domingo mas que nos levantamos todavia siendo de noche. Gracias a Tanja y Bernd, los padrinos de vuelo,  otros 4 perros se nos marcharon para reunirse con  nuevas familias!
Another Sunday we woke up very early. Thanks to Tanja ann Bernd, the flight attendants, 4 more of our dogs could leave to be reunited with their new family`s!
Ein weiterer Sonntag sind wir sehr früh aufgewacht. Dank an Tanja und Bernd, die Flugbegleiter, 4 mehr unserer Hunde uns verlassen konnte, um mit ihrer neuen Familie `s vereinigt zu werden!

Pero todo eso ya pasó,  los hermos cuidado y mimado entre todos y hoy podemos olvidar su pasado y esperar un nuevo FUTURO para ellos !

FINAL FELIZ PARA INDY! - HAPPY END FOR INDY! - HAPPY END FÜR INDY!

 El fin de semana recibimos uno de tantos emails sobre un perro abandonado en la Cumbre de GC.   Era de María Pilar (de Madrid) que pasó unas  vacaciones en la isla y estaba de camino de vuelta.
Explicamos que hay muchos perros Podencos abandonados en la cumbre y un grupo de voluntarios pasan por ahí para dejarles comida y agua .Pedimos una foto, para poder avisar a estos voluntarios.
In the weekend we received a lot of emails about an abandoned dog in the mountains of GC. The emails came from María Pilar from Madrid, who was on holiday here. We explained to her that there are a lot of abandoned Podencos in the mountains and that a group of volunteers go there to leave water and food. We asked for a picture, so we could warn these volunteers.
Am Wochenende erhielten wir eine Menge E-Mails über einen verlassenen Hund in den Bergen von GC. Die E-Mails kamen von María Pilar aus Madrid, die im Urlaub hier war.
Wir erklärten ihr, dass es eine Menge von verlassenen Podencos in den Bergen gibt und dass eine Gruppe von Freiwilligen dorthin gehen, um Wasser und Nahrung zu verlassen. Wir baten um ein Bild, und so konnten wir diese Freiwilligen warnen.

Grande fue la sorpresa cuando recibimos el lunes la foto de  un Podenco con un arnés puesto! Desde luego, no era un perro abandonado por un cazador!
It was a big surprise to see that when we became the picture of a Podenco wearing a harness! Of course, this was not a dog left by a hunter! 
Es war eine große Überraschung zu sehen, dass, wenn wir das Bild eines Podenco empfangen dass ein Geschirr trägt! Natürlich war dies nicht ein Hund, der von einem Jäger gelassen wird!

 El martes  Pancho con su perrita Luna , voluntarios de la protectora ADA, subieron al Roque Nublo y la encontraron!!!
We published the picture en FB and we warned several other animal protectors. On Tuesday Pancho and his dog Luna, volunteers of the animal protector ADA went up to the Roque Nublo and found the dog!
Wir veröffentlichten das Bild auf FB und wir gewarnt mehrere andere Tierschützer. Am Dienstag ging Pancho und sein Hund Luna, Freiwilligen von der Tierschutzverein ADA, auf die Roque Nublo und fand den Hund!

La misma noche, de vuelta a Las Palmas, pasaron con ella por un Veterinario ....y tenía CHIP!
The same night, back in Las Palmas, they went to a veterinarian....... and she had a CHIP!
Noch am selben Abend wieder einmal in Las Palmas, ging sie zu einem Tierarzt...... und sie hatte einen CHIP!

Sus dueños la adoptaron hace un par de años y viven en el sur de la isla, Mogán. En el registro de los animales, ZOOCAN, estaba registrada como Podenco pero mascota (  nada de cazador!!) y perdida!
Her owners adopted her a few years ago and are living in the south of the island, Mogan. At the animal register, ZOOCAN, she was registered as Podenco, but as a pet (and not as a hunting dog!!) and declared as missing! 
Ihre Besitzer adoptierte sie vor ein paar Jahren und sie leben im Süden der Insel, Mogan. In der Tier-Register, ZOOCAN, wurde Sie als Podenco, aber als Haustier (nicht als Jagdhund!) registriert und als vermisst gemeldet!

HAY QUE SALVAR A LILA - LILA MUST BE SAVED - LILA MUSS GERETTET WERDEN

Este es un triste caso de  problemas de convivencia  entre humanos, y quien paga los platos rotos son los animales.
This is a sad case of problems of living between humans, and who pays for that, the animals.
Dies ist ein trauriger Fall von Problemen des Lebens zwischen den Menschen, und wer bezahlt dafür, die Tiere.

Y en este caso la forma de pagar los platos rotos es la muerte, porque no encuentran otra solución para Lila.

And in this case the way of paying is death, because they can not find another solution for Lila.

 LILA es una perra pitbull, muy joven, se crió en un ambiente familiar, donde también  llegó un gatito, al que cuidó como si fuese su hijo, también nació y también convivió con el bebé humano de la familia.
LILA is a Pitbull, very young, she grew up in a family, where also was living a kitten, who she took care of if it was her own kid and as well a baby was born and she lived with the baby of the family.
LILA ist ein Pitbull, sehr jung, aufgewachsen in Familie, wo auch eine Katze lebte, wer sie kümmerte, wenn sie ihr eigenes Kind war und ein Baby geboren wurde, mit denen sie zusammen lebte.

Pero la relación familiar se rompió. Al gato le encontraron un nuevo hogar, pero a LILA por ser una pitbull, no.
But the couple got separated. For the cat they found a new home, but not for LILA, because she is a pitbull.
Aber die Familie Beziehung brach. Für die Katze hatte sie ein neues Zuhause gefunden, aber nicht für LILA, weil sie ein pitbull ist.  

Su dueño no la puede mantener mas, porque no se lo permiten en su nueva vivienda y porque trabaja todo el día.   La única opción que le queda es sacrificarla, por eso hace un llamamiento desesperado.
Her owner can not keep her any more, because he is not allowed to have her in his new home and because he is working all day. The only option that is left is to sacrifice her, for that he is desperate calling.
Ihr Besitzer kann Sie nicht mehr halten weil sie nicht erlaubt ist in seinem neuen Zuhause und den ganzen Tag arbeiten muss.Die einzige Lösung ist, sie einschläfern, deshalb diese verzweifelt Anrufe. 

Lila es buena, cariñosa y obediente.  ¿Qué ha hecho de malo para que su destino inmediato sea la muerte?
Lila is good, sweet and obedient.  What has she done wrong that her immediate destination is death?
Lila ist gut, süß und gehorsam. Was hat sie falsch gemacht, dass ihr unmittelbarer Bestimmungsort der Tod ist?

PEDIMOS AYUDA A EDUCADORRES CANINOS PARA RONY

Rony

•      Sexo: Macho castrado

•      Raza: Mezcla de caniche

•      Edad: 7 años aproximadamente

•      Manto: Pelo rizado y espeso, color blanco con grandes manchas grises; necesita frecuentes peluquerías si se deja el manto largo o raparlo.

Antecedentes → Rony fue atropellado hace un tiempo recibiendo un golpe en la cara. Tuvo que ser intervenido perdiendo varias piezas dentales y el maxilar inferior no se ha quedado bien del todo. Las secuelas físicas no son importantes, solo hay que tener la precaución de darle el pienso de tamaño pequeño o humedecerlo para que se ablande.

Las secuelas psicológicas son bastantes más graves y profundas generando problemas de agresividad, especialmente cuando se va a manejar –cogerlo en brazos, acariciarlo, pelarlo y sobre todo en las visitas al veterinario-. A esto se une que su vida ha estado reducida a una casa, en compañía de una señora mayor, y con muy pocas salidas a la calle.

Tiene escasa socialización y mucho miedo a los desconocidos, especialmente a los hombres, y reacciona de manera arisca a cualquier persona que entre en su casa, sobre todo si intenta tocarlo, llegando a morder.

Desde que lo sacamos de su entorno ha habido algunas mejoras importantes como:

·       Dejarse pelar sin dormirlo, sin bozal y sin amarrarlo -cosa que hasta ahora era imposible según su propietaria-.

·       Se deja coger en brazos y se muestra muy cariñoso y obediente con nosotros.

A pesar de estos avances no podemos recomendar a Rony para la adopción porque sigue sin ser fiable. Ha mordido en situaciones de frustración –si lo vas a coger cuando él no quiere, si lo llamas para entrar en algún sitio donde no quiere ir, etc.- gruñe, muestra los dientes y no se deja coger. El único varón que trabaja con nosotros es al que más ha mordido, por lo que pensamos que desconfía más de los hombres y los ve como una amenaza.

 

Conclusiones → Este llamamiento no es para una adopción en una familia normal. Este caso va dirigido a profesionales del comportamiento, veterinarios, peluqueros caninos o adiestradores que quieran ayudar a Rony. Su dueña ha enfermado y no tiene familia que se ocupe de Rony, ella lo quiere muchísimo y  a ella no le ha mordido nunca pero ya no puede ocuparse de él. La otra opción es eutanasiarlo por las dificultades para su adopción.

Nosotros los voluntarios estamos sobrecargados, como siempre, y lo único que nos queda es realizar este llamamiento. En mi experiencia particular cuando empecé como adiestradora y me especialicé en problemas de agresividad,  yo adoptaba a los que no tenían posibilidad con otra persona que no tuviera los conocimientos que yo tenía. Todos estos perros que han vivido y han muerto en nuestra casa, llevando una vida normal y a veces  me han enseñado más que cualquier libro o cualquier maestro.

Casos de experiencias tan traumáticas como las de Rony, con secuelas como las que muestra, raras veces llegan a una curación total. Si convive con un experto en comportamiento puede llegar a hacer una vida absolutamente normal y ser muy feliz el tiempo que le queda.

Algo que debemos resaltar en el caso de Rony es que la intimidación, el sometimiento, la presión, técnicas de ahorque, lazo en el hocico además de bozal han sido utilizados continuamente para pelarlo o curarlo en el veterinario. Esto unido a que sus visitas fueron muy frecuentes a raíz del accidente es, como describe su propietaria, lo que empezó a cambiar el carácter del perro. Estamos hablando en todo momento desde el punto de vista de lo que el animal siente, experimenta y vive, no estamos cuestionando los métodos que actualmente se usan para el manejo de animales que muerden. Por lo tanto los métodos que recomendamos encarecidamente son aquellos que trabajan exclusivamente en positivo y especialmente la utilización del cliker para la desensibilización y el contracondicionamiento como métodos terapéuticos.

Pasamos este testigo a lo que nosotros llamamos adiestradores sin fronteras a quien  realmente quiera ayudar a Rony a vivir y de camino aprender, disfrutar y experimentar la recuperación de un animal a través del adiestramiento en positivo.
