El 18 de Octubre recibimos un correo electrónico de la fam. X pidiendo ayuda para buscar hogar a 8 cachorros que habían nacido el día 5 de Octubre. Un par de días antes también recibimos una llamada de una colaboradora nuestra sobre el tema de estos 8 cachorros. Así a los pocos días fuimos a hacerles fotos. No llegaban todavía a las 3 semanas de vida. Estaban en un garaje/taller dentro de una piscina infantil. Alrededor todo lo típico de un taller, herramientas, aceites por el suelo, etc.
Indicamos que no era el sitio adecuado para ellos, una vez que fuesen un poco mayores y caminasen.
On October 18th we received an email from the family X asking for help finding family for 8 puppies, who were born on October 5th. A couple of days before we received a call from one of our collaborators about this case of 8 puppies. So after a few days we went to take pictures of them. They were not even 3 weeks old. We found them in a garage / workshop inside a kids swimming-pool, surrounded by typical tools of a garage/workshop, tools, oils etc.
We indicated that this was not the right place for them once they get a little older and start walking.
Am 18.Oktober erhielten wir von Familie X eine E-Mail, in der man uns um Hilfe bat, für die acht am 5.Oktober geborenen Welpen Familien zu finden. Bereits einige Tage zuvor erhielten wir den Anruf einer Mitarbeiterin zum Fall dieser 8 Welpen. Also fuhren wir ein paar Tage später dort hin, um sie zu fotografieren. Sie waren noch keine 3 Wochen alt. Wir fanden sie in einer Garage/Werkstatt in einem Kinderplanschbecken vor, umgeben von allem was für eine Werkstatt typisch ist, wie Werkzeug, Öl auf dem Boden, etc.
Wir gaben zu verstehen, dass das nicht die geeignete Umgebung für sie ist, vor allem wenn sie ein wenig älter sind und anfangen zu laufen.

Quedamos entonces con la Fam. X de volver al finales de Noviembre para recoger los cachorros. Ellos nos dijeron que querían esterilizar a la madre, una perra callejera que apareció en su barrio durante el verano. Pero fuimos informados por terceros que le habían ofrecido esterilizar a la perra antes que llegaran los cachorros, y esta familia no quiso, pues querían venderlos en una tienda de animales.
So we agreed with the family X to return late November to pick up the puppies. They wanted to sterilize the mother then, a stray dog who appeared in their neighbourhood during the summer. We were particularly surprised, when we were informed by others that a person offered to sterilize the dog before the puppies arrived, but the family refused, because they wanted to sell them in a pet store.
Und so besprachen wir mit Familie X, die Welpen Ende November abzuholen. Sie wollten dann die Mutter sterilisieren, eine streunende Hündin, die im Sommer in der Nachbarschaft auftauchte. Aber wir wurden von anderer Seite informiert, dass vor Ankunft der Welpen angeboten wurde, die Hündin zu sterilisieren. Die Familie lehnte das jedoch ab, weil sie die Welpen in einer Tierhandlung verkaufen wollten.
Al finales de Octubre con el temporal en el sur de viento y lluvia, recibimos (de una persona anonima) fotos de los cachorros con la información de que estaban viviendo fuera en la calle dentro de un cerrado hecho con un par de bloques. Tambien recibimos un correo de la Fam. X diciendo que los cachorros ya comian solos ( con menos de 4 semanas!) y el dia siguiente otro correo diciendo que la madre de los cachorros ya no estaba con ellos, quizas 1 minuto y a lo mejor tenia dolor y no quieria estar mas con ellos. Nos pedian que los recogiesemos ya.
At the end of October with the storm of wind and rain in the south, we received some anonymous photos of the puppies with the information that they were living outside on the street in a park made with a pair of blocks. On October 30 we also received an email from the Family X that the puppies ate alone (less than 4 weeks old!) and the next day another email saying that the mother of the puppies was not much with them, perhaps one minute and maybe she had pain and did not want to be more with them. They asked us if we could come to pick them up already.
Ende Oktober, wir hatten hier im Süden Sturm mit Wind und Regen, erhielten wir anonym Fotos von den Welpen mit der Information, dass sie draußen auf der Straße in einem durch Steine abgegrenzten Bereich leben müssen. Am 30.Oktober erhielten wir auch von Familie X eine E-Mail in der man uns mitteilte, dass die Welpen bereits alleine fressen würden (mit nicht mal 4 Wochen!) Am nächsten Tag erhielten wir von ihnen eine weitere Mail in der man uns schrieb, dass die Mutter der Welpen kaum noch bei ihnen ist, vielleicht eine Minute, und sie hat vielleicht Schmerzen und will deshalb nicht mehr bei ihnen sein. Sie fragten, ob wir sie jetzt schon abholen können.
Cuando llegamos (despues de quedar el dia 5 noviembre a las 16.30 horas y avisando con antelación, tal como nos pidieron) estaban en otro sitio. Tuvimos que subir una escalera metalica que llegaba a una azotea de una casa en frente. La madre subió ensequido con nostros. En un rinconcito estaban los cachorros, detras de una cortina. Había dos cacharritos de plastico ( de una botella) sin agua y un cacharro ( tambien de botella) donde hubo seguramente comida, pero ahora vacio y con moscas.
Nada mas ver a la madre, vivieron corriendo para poder mamar y la madre lo permitió sin problema.
When we arrived (after we had agreed to met on the 5th November at 4.30 pm and with reasonable notice, like they asked us) they were on another place. We had to climb a metal ladder that reached a roof of an opposite house. The mother went straight up with us, there in a corner were the puppies, behind a curtain. There were two plastic bowls/plates (made from a water-bottle) one without water and one where for sure was food in before, but now it was empty and full of flies.
Only seeing their mother, they came running to breastfeed and the mother let them drink without any problem.
Als wir ankamen (nachdem wir uns mit einer angemessenen Frist auf den 5.November um 16.30 geeinigt hatten) waren sie gar nicht da. Wir mussten eine Metall-Leiter, die bis ans Dach des gegenüberliegen Hauses reicht, hochklettern. Die Mutter kam sofort mit uns mit. In einer Ecke, hinter einem Vorhang, waren die Welpen. Dort gab’s zwei Plastiknäpfe (aus Wasserflaschen gebastelt). Einer ohne Wasser, in dem anderen war wohl Futter, aber jetzt war er leer und voller Fliegen.
Als sie ihre Mutter sahen, liefen sie sofort hin um zu säugen und die Mutter ließ das problemlos zu.
Despues de unos cambios de opinion con esta familia, nos permitieron llevar a la madre para que por lo menos pudiese cuidar a sus cachorros y seguir dando de mamar. Quedamos que dentro de 1 a 2 semanas, según la naturaleza, les devolveriamos la madre. La perra no tenia puesto microchip, aunque la Fam. X la reclaman como SU perro. Nos comentaron que el veterinario donde acudieron antes de tener los cachorros dijo que el CHIP no era obligatorio.........
After a few days and back and forth conversations they let us take the mother as well, so at least she could take care of her puppies and continue to give them her milk, agreeing that after 1 to 2 weeks, according the nature, to bring the mother back. The dog was not wearing a microchip, although the family X is claiming her as it is THEIR dog. They were telling us that the veterinarian where they took her, before she had her puppies, told them that the CHIP is not obligated...............
Nach einigen Meinungsverschiedenheiten mit dieser Familie erlaubte man uns, die Mutter ebenfalls mitzunehmen, damit sie sich wenigstens um die Welpen kümmern und sie weiterhin stillt. Wir vereinbarten, dass sie nach 1 bis 2 Wochen, abhängig von den natürlichen Erfordernissen, wieder zurück gebracht wird. Der Hund trägt keinen Mikrochip, obwohl die Familie Anspruch erhebt, dass es IHR Hund ist. Sie äußerten sich uns gegenüber dahingehend, dass der Tierarzt, bei dem sie vor der Geburt der Welpen waren, ihnen gesagt hätte, dass ein CHIP nicht obligatorisch wäre……
Una vez en la casa de acogida de una colaboradora de Gran Canaria Pets la madre se metió rapido dentro de la cuna, cuidando y dando de mamar a las crias. Ahi tenia la posibilidad de salir y entrar. El mismo dia informamos a la Fam. X como estaba la perra y mandamos tambien una foto de ella y sus cachorros en la casa de acogida.
Once at the foster home of one of our collaborators, the mother went quickly into the bed, to take care of her puppies and feed them. There she had the possibility to go in and go out. The same day we informed the family X how everything went with the dog and we also did send them a picture of her with her puppies at their foster home.
Erst einmal in der Pflegestelle bei einer unserer Mitarbeiterinnen angekommen, legte sich die Mutter schnell ins Körbchen um sich um die Welpen zu kümmern und sie zu stillen. Dort konnte sie beliebig ein und aus gehen. Noch am gleichen Tag informierten wir die Familie X darüber, wie es dem Hund geht und schickten auch ein Foto von ihr und den Welpen in der Pflegstelle.
En los dias siguientes la Fam. X acosó insistentemente a una colaboradora/voluntaria de la protectora. Gritos por telefono, amenazas y e-mails tambien con acusaciones , amenazas etc. Hasta que el jueves la Fam. X se planto delante de la casa de esta colaboradora. Dejando otra vez un mensaje en el mobil y gritando algo sobre la Policia Nacional. Este misma tarde recibimos una llamada de la Policia y posteriormente su visita en el domicilio particular.
La Fam. X quierian poner una denuncia a esta colaboradora y asi tambien a la protectora por habernos llevado la madre. Decian que nos habían regalado 8 cachorros gratis !!!!!!
Al final parece que la Policia Nacional los convencieron de no poner una denuncia, ademas no tenian la perra a su nombre, y la entrega de la misma fué voluntaria.
The following days one collaborator/volunteer of the protector got harassed by them. Screams on the telephone, threats and also emails with accusations and treats, etc. Untill Thursday, when the family X stood in front of the house of this collaborator. Leaving a message again on the mobile-phone and screaming something about the National Police. That same afternoon we received a call from the Police and later a visit of them at the home address.
The family X wanted to make a denouncement against this collaborator and also against the animal protector for taking the mother. Saying that they gave us 8 puppies for free!!!!
At the end it seems that the National Police convinced them not to press charges, also of not being in their right because of not having the dog in their name, and the delivery of all was voluntarily.
In den darauf folgenden Tagen schikanierte Familie X wiederholt eine Mitarbeiterin/Freiwillige des Tierschutzvereins. Geschrei am Telefon, Drohungen und E-Mails ebenfalls mit Drohungen und Anschuldigungen, usw. Bis zum Donnerstag, als Familie X vorm Haus dieser Mitarbeiterin stand. Wieder einmal hinterließen sie eine Nachricht auf dem Handy und schrien etwas über die Kriminalpolizei. Am gleichen Nachmittag erfolgte ein Anruf der Polizei und später ein Besuch im Privathaus.
Familie X wollte diese Mitarbeiterin anzeigen und auch den Tierschutzverein wegen der Wegnahme der Mutter. Schließlich hätten sie uns 8 Welpen geschenkt!!!!!
Am Ende scheint es, dass die Polizei sie davon überzeugte, keine Anzeige zu erstatten, auch dass sie kein Anrecht haben, denn der Hund ist nicht auf ihren Namen registriert und die Übergabe freiwillig erfolgte.
El dia 15 de noviembre, cansados ya de esta Fam. X con sus amenazas, hemos entregado la madre en una la clinica Veterinaria, informandoles donde puden recoger SU perra. Teniendo la pobre todavia leche, la tuvimos que separar brutalmente de sus cachorros.
On November the 15th, tired now of this family X with their threats and accusing, we have brought the mother to a Veterinarian Clinic, where they could pick up THEIR dog. While the poor mammy is still having milk, for this we had to separate her brutally from her puppies.
Am 15.November, müde von dieser Familie X mit ihren Drohungen, brachten wir die Mutter in eine Tierklinik, wo sie IHREN Hund abholen können. Obwohl die arme Mutter noch Milch hat, mussten wir sie brutal von ihren Welpen trennen.
Esperemos que por lo menos pongan un chip y las vacunas, que la esterilizen y que le permitan vivir dentro de la casa! Hasta ahora no vivia con ellos. Viven cerca de una carretera muy transitada y cuesta abajo donde los coches bajan con bastante velocidad.
Las dos veces que fuimos allí ( una vez para hacer las fotos, la secunda para recoger a los cachorros) paseaba la perra muy tranquila por esta misma carretera.
Hopefully at least they put a chip and vaccines, that they sterilize her and let her live in the house! So far she was not living inside the house with them. They also live near a busy road and downhill the cars speed down fairly.
The two times we went there (first time to make the pictures, the second time to pick up the puppies) the mammy was relax walking on this same road.
Hoffentlich lassen sie die Hündin wenigstens impfen, sterilisieren, einen Chip einsetzen und im Haus leben! Bisher durfte sie nicht mit im Haus leben. Sie leben an einer vielbefahrenen Straße, die bergab geht und wo die Autos ziemlich schnell durchfahren.
Die beiden Male, die wir dort waren (das 1. Mal zum fotografieren, das 2. Mal zum abholen der Welpen), lief die Hündin seelenruhig genau diese Straße entlang.
