VISITA DE - VISIT FROM - BESUCH VON: SANDRA & SVEN Y WIEBKE

 Vacaciones en Gran Canaria  para Sandra & Sven, visitando  la perrera de Puerto Rico, donde también hacemos algunos días de la semana el  trabajo de voluntariado! Ellos no faltaron ningun día en repartir cariño, juego y paseos con los perros!
Además recibimos una donación de ellos en forma de dinero, que fue repartido entre Gran Canaria Pets y la perrera de Puerto Rico.

Finalizaron sus vacaciones además como Padrinos de vuelo y así 6 perros pudieron viajar a Alemania!

Holidays on Gran Canaria for Sandra and Sven, visiting the dog-pound of Puerto Rico, where we (GCP) also do volunteer work, several days a week! They did not lack any day to give love, and play and walk with the dogs! We also received a money donation, which we shared between Gran Canaria Pets and the dog-pound of Puerto Rico. In name of all the dogs: THANK YOU for everything ♥ They finished their holidays being flight attendants and for this, 6 dogs were able to fly to Germany!

Urlaub auf Gran Canaria für Sandra und Sven, das Tierheim von Puerto Rico besuchend, wo wir (GCP) auch Freiwilligenarbeit machen, mehrere Tage in der Woche! Sie fehlte keinen Tag um Liebe zu geben, zum spielen und Spazieren zu gehen mit den Hunden! Außerdem erhielten wir eine Geld-Spende, die wir zwischen Gran Canaria Pets und das Tierheim von Puerto Rico geteilt haben. In Namen aller Hunde: VIELEN DANK für alles ♥ Sie beendeten ihren Urlaub als Flugbegleitern und dafür, konnten 6 Hunden nach Deutschland fliegen!

También recibimos la visita de Wiebke, representando una organización en Alemania; Tierhilfsnetzwerk Europa e.V.     ( www.tierhilfsnetzwerk-europa.de) . Wiebke vino un par de días para visitar  otra Protectora en la isla y como la conocemos de una anterior visita a la isla quedamos para charlar y ver un poco nuestro trabajo.  La invitamos también a pasar una mañana en la perrera de Puerto Rico y posteriormente visitar una casa de acogida de Gran Canaria Pets donde están ahora 7 perros en acogida y donde recogen y ayudan siempre a muchos animales.

Also we received a visit from Wiebke, she represents an organization in Germany; Tierhilfsnetzwek Europa e.V. ( www.tierhilfsnetzwerk-europa.de). Wiebke came to visit another Animal organization here on Gran Canaria. We know eachother already for some years and made an apointment with here to talk a little and so we could show one of our fosterhomes and our volunteerwork as well in the Dogpound op Puerto Rico.

DUKE, ADOPTADO -ADOPTED - ADOPTIERT !!

 DUKE llegó así en el febrero de este año! Después de muchos meses de lucha contra su alergia estamos muy felices de que también el encontrara un hogar!
Ya está en Madrid y paseando allí por los parques con Merche.
Merche vino a Canarias para pasar sus vacaciones y conocer a DUKE!
Fue un amor a primera vista de las dos partes! Terminó sus vacaciones y la compañía area no admitía animales a bordo. Gracias a Rosy, DUKE pudo salir pronto y ya esta en Madrid!

DUKE arrived like this in February this year! After many months of struggle against allergy we are very happy that he also found a home! He is already in Madrid and walking through the parks there together with Merche.
Merche came on holiday to Gran Canaria and met DUKE! It was love on the first sight from both sides! Her holiday ended, but the airline did not allow animals on the flight. Thanks to Rosy, DUKE good leave soon and he is now in Madrid!

DUKE kam wie dies im Februar dieses Jahres! Nach vielen Monaten des Kampfs gegen Allergie sind wir sehr glücklich, dass er auch ein Haus gefunden hat! Er ist bereits in Madrid und Lauft durch die Parks dort zusammen mit Merche.  
Merche kam im Urlaub auf Gran Canaria und traf DUKE! Es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick von beiden Seiten! Ihr Urlaub beendet, aber die Fluggesellschaft erlaubte keine Tiere auf der Flucht. Dank an Rosy, DUKE könnte schnell gehen und ist jetzt in Madrid!

ATREYU, PRECIOSO PERRO DE 8 MESES ABANDONADO - BEAUTIFUL 8 MONTHS OLD DOG ABANDONED - SCHÖNE 8 MONATE ALTER HUND, VERLASSEN

Nuestra compañera Nati encontró este perro abandonado con la correa cortada.   Estuvo averiguando si se le había escapado a alguien, y se enteró de que sus "propietarios" habían  intentado venderlo, como no lo consiguieron, lo abandonaron.  Se les localizó pero no quisieron recuperarlo.
Solo tiene 8 meses.  Es muy alegre y vigoroso.  Solo quiere jugar con los otros perros de la casa. Nati no puede quedárselo porque ya tiene demasiados perros y tampoco quiere llevarlo a Bañaderos porque es un perro muy bueno.
Buscamos familia urgente para él !!!!!!

Our colleague Nati found this dog abandoned with a cut of leash. He gave the impression that he was escaping from somebody, and Nati found out that his "owners" were trying to sell him, as they did not succeed, they abandoned him. They were located but did not want him back. 
He is only 8 months old, very happy and vigorous. He only wants to play with the other dogs in the home. Nati can not keep him because she already too many dogs, and she does not want to take him to the dog-pound Bañaderos, because he is a very good dog.
We are urgently looking for a family for him !!!!!

Unser Kollege Nati hat diesen Hund gefunden, verlassen mit einem abgeschnittene Leine. Er hat den Eindruck gegeben, dass er von jemandem entkam, und Nati fand heraus, dass seine "Besitzer" versuchten, ihn zu verkaufen, da sie nicht erfolgreich gewesen sind, haben sie ihn verlassen. Sie wurden lokalisiert, aber wollte ihn nicht zurück. 
Er ist nur 8 Monate alt, sehr glücklich und kräftig. Er will nur spielen mit den anderen Hunden im Haus.
Nati kann ihn nicht behalten, weil sie bereits zu viele Hunde hat, und sie will ihn nicht ins Tötungsstation Bañaderos bringen, weil er ein sehr guter Hund ist. 
Wir suchen dringend eine Familie für ihn!!!

PAMELA, FINAL FELIZ - HAPPY END

Recibimos una carta con fotos de Pamela de su nueva familia! Que alegría verla tan feliz y querida!
Pamela se llama ahora MISSI y su nueva familia, Ilona y Klaus, están tan feliz con ella!
Antes de llegar Pamela tenían también una perrita , adoptada de Gran Canaria, pero ella falleció de vejez. MISSI ayudó a sobrellevar esta pérdida tan grande.
El primer día en su nueva casa fue el cumpleaños de Klaus y pensaban: demasiado gente que va a venir! Pero MISSI olfateaba a todos los que vinieron y no tenía problema ninguno! Todos los días le dan los buenos días, y (amor de madre) y MISSI les contesta ! Nos cuentan que es el payaso de la familia, camina de vez en cuando por el salón ( 8 metros!) con solo sus patas traseras! Ella les quiere mucho, pero adora al marido Klaus!
También es un amor con la nieta y cuando llaman ahora a Missi, las dos vienen corriendo!
Gracias Familia, por habernos mandado la carta y las fotos!

We received a letter with pictures of Pamela from her new family! What a happiness to see her so happy and loved! Pamela is now called MISSI and her new family, Ilona and Klaus, are very happy with her!
Before Pamela arrived, they also had a dog, adopted from GCP, but she died of old age. 
MISSI helped to overcome this big lost.
On the first day in her new home it was the birthday of Klaus and they thought: a lot of people will come!
But MISSI sniffed all the people that came and there was no problem at all! They are telling us that she is the clown of the family, sometimes she walks through the living room (8 meters) with only her hind legs! She loves them both very much, but she adores the husband Klaus!
She is also very loving with the granddaughter, and when they call Missi, both come running!
Thank you family, for sending us the letter and pictures!

Wir haben einen Brief mit Bildern erhalten von Pamela von ihrer neuen Familie! Was für ein Glück, sie so glücklich und geliebt zu sehen! Pamela heißt jetzt MISSI und ihre neue Familie, Ilona und Klaus sind sehr glücklich mit ihr! 
Bevor Pamela angekommen ist, hatten sie auch einen Hündin, der von GCP angenommen war, aber sie ist am Alter gestorben. MISSI hat dazu beigetragen, diese großen Verlust zu überwinden. 
Am ersten Tag in ihrem neuen Zuhause war es der Geburtstag von Klaus und sie dachten: eine Menge Leute werden kommen! Aber MISSI schnüffelte alle Leute die kamen, und es gab überhaupt kein Probleme!
Sie erzählen uns, dass sie der Clown der Familie ist, manchmal geht sie durch das Wohnzimmer (8 Meter) mit nur ihre Hinterbeine! Sie liebt sie beide sehr viel, aber sie verehrt den Mann Klaus! Sie ist auch sehr liebevoll mit der Enkelin, und wenn sie Missi rufen, kommen sie beide angerannt!

GATITA DE MES Y MEDIO EN ADOPCION - 6 WEEKS OLD KITTEN IN ADOPTION - 6 WOCHEN ALTES KÄTZCHEN IN ADOPTION

Herbie nos ha escrito porque encontró hace un par de semanas esta gatita de mes y medio solita.  La ha criado pero no puede quedársela porque tiene un perro de guarda que la ve como una presa. Ahora ya come sola, aunque es muy pequeña para su edad, quizás por el hambre que ha pasado la pobre.  Es muy alegre y cariñosa.

Herbie wrote us because he found a few weeks ago this 6 weeks old little kitten. He has bred her but can not keep her, because he has a guard dog that looks like Presa. She now eats on her own, but she is very little for her age, maybe for the hunger she had in the past, poor thing. She is very joyful and affectionate.

Herbie hat uns geschrieben, weil er vor ein paar Wochen diese 6 Wochen altes kleines Kätzchen gefunden hat. Er hat sie gezüchtet, aber kann sie nicht halten, weil er einen Wachhund hat, der aussieht wie ein Presa. 
Sie frißt nun selbstständig, aber sie ist sehr klein für ihr Alter, vielleicht für den Hunger sie hatte in der Vergangenheit, das arme Ding. Sie ist sehr fröhlich und anhänglich.

VISITAMOS A JULINE !!!!!! - WE VISITED JULINE !!!!! - WIR BESUCHTEN JULINE !!!!!

Fuimos a visitar a Juline.  Fue adoptada en la isla hace meses siendo un bebe todavía.  Hoy hemos estado en su casa y la niña está preciosa !!!!
Es un pequeño trasto que no para quieta.  Fue difícil hacerle fotos !  menos mal que vive al lado de la playa donde corre y juega a gusto para descargar esa vitalidad que tiene.
Su mami  está encantada con ella. Nos alegramos mucho de verla tan feliz y queremos agradecer a Aleida  el transportin que nos ha donado .

We went to visit Juline. Months ago she was adopted here on the island when she was still a puppy. Today we were in her home and she looks beautiful !!!
She is a little restless girl that does not sit still, it was difficult to take pictures! Luckily they live near the beach, where she can run and play how much she wants, to get rid of the vitality she has. 
Her mammy is very happy with her. We are very pleased to see them so happy and we want to thank Aleida for the transport-box she donated.  

Wir gingen Juline besuchen. Vor Monaten wurde sie hier auf der Insel angenommen, als sie noch ein Welpe war. Heute waren wir in ihrem Haus, und sie sieht schön aus!!! Sie ist ein kleines ruheloses Mädchen, das nicht stillsitzt, es war schwierig, Bilder zu nehmen! Glücklicherweise wohnen Sie in der Nähe von der Strand, wo sie laufen und spielen kann, wie viel sie will, um loszuwerden von der Vitalität die sie hat.
Ihre Mama ist sehr glücklich mit ihr. Wir freuen uns sehr, sie so glücklich zu sehen, und wir wollen Aleida bedanken für den Transport-Box, den sie uns geschenkt hat.

JULIAN, FINAL FELIZ- HAPPY END

Mira que guapo está JULIAN!! El se llama ahora PACO! JULIAN, después de tantos meses muy enfermo de filaria , curado con su tratamiento y cuidado todo este tiempo por Gloria y Tito,  por fin está bien de salud. Su nueva Familia lo lleva cada año al veterinario para un chequo y cuidan de su bienestar!
En el jardín puede jugar como quiere y con su frisbee está muy contento!
También esta vez el y su familia nos han mandado una donación para los perritos que necesitan todavía aquí nuestra ayuda!
El nos manda muchos saludos, pero en especial a Gloria y Tito un gran beso !

Look how handsome JULIAN is!!! He is now called PACO! JULIAN, after being sick of heart-worm for many months, and being cured and taken care of by Gloria and Tito all this time, he was finally healthy. His family is taking him every year to the veterinarian for a check and care of his wellbeing! 
In the garden he can play like he wants and he is very happy with his Frisbee!
This time, he and his family, did send us also a donation for the dogs that still need our help here on the island!
He is sending us many greetings, and a big kiss specially for Gloria and Tito!
Thanks to the parents of JULIAN/PACO for everything!

Schauen Sie, wie hübsch JULIAN ist!!! Er heißt jetzt PACO! JULIAN, nachdem er krank war von Herz-Wurm für viele Monate, und geheilt und gesorgt zu werden durch Gloria und Tito die ganze Zeit, war er endlich gesund. Seine Familie nimmt ihm jedes Jahr zum Tierarzt für einen Kontrolle und Pflege seines Wohlbefinden! Im Garten kann er spielen wie er will und er ist sehr glücklich mit seiner Frisbee!
Dieses Mal haben sie (er und seine Familie) uns auch eine Spende geschickt, für die Hunde, die unsere Hilfe hier auf der Insel noch brauchen! 
Er schickt uns viele Grüße und einen dicken Kuss besonders für Gloria und Tito!

NANCY: DE VACACIONES EN GRAN CANARIA !!!!! ON HOLIDAY ON GRAN CANARIA!!!! - IM URLAUB AUF GRAN CANARIA! !!!

La perrita peluda tras las rejas es Nancy.    La rescatamos y  entregamos en adopción a una familia suiza en el mes de Julio.  Ahora sus adoptantes han venido a pasar unos días de vacaciones a Gran Canaria con Nancy.
Han llamado  para que viésemos lo preciosa, mimada y cuidada  que está .  Su mamá de acogida Cristina estaba muy feliz de verla así.   Todos nos alegramos muchisimo.  Gracias Pia por cuidarla tan bien  !!!!!!

The furry dog behind bars is Nancy.  We rescued her and in July she was adopted by a family in Switzerland. Now her adopters came for a few days on holiday on Gran Canaria with Nancy. Her foster mammy Cristina was very happy to see her. We were all very happy! Thank you Pia for taking such good care of her !!!!!

Der pelzigen Hündin hinter Gittern ist Nancy. Wir haben sie gerettet, und im Juli wurde sie von einer Familie in der Schweiz angenommen. Jetzt sind ihre Adoptierenden für ein paar Tage im Urlaub auf Gran Canaria mit Nancy. Ihre Pflege mama, Cristina, war sehr glücklich, sie zu sehen. Wir waren alle sehr glücklich! Danke Pia, um solche gute Sorge über sie zu nehmen!!!!!
