El pasado día 16 de Noviembre festejamos una doble celebración.
El 3º cumpleaños de GRAN CANARIA PETS  y los 500 perros que hemos entregado en adopción !!!!!!!!!
Estamos muy orgullosos de ello, y para festejarlo  nos reunimos en una comida  un grupo de amigos, socios fundadores, veterinarios, casas de acogida, voluntarios.
Fue muy agradable estar todos juntos, unidos por el amor a los animales y por la colaboración en Gran Canaria Pets.
Esperamos seguir cumpliendo años y seguir salvando muchos perritos !!!!!!

On November 16th we celebrated a double celebration. 
The 3rd birthday of GRAN CANARIA PETS and the 500 dogs who were adopted!!!!!
We are very proud of that, and to celebrate we have had a meal with a group of friends, founders, veterinarians, foster homes, volunteers.
It was very nice to be together, united for the love of animals and for the collaboration in Gran Canaria Pets.
We hope to continue for years and to continue to rescue many more doggies!!!!!!

Am 16. November feierten wir eine doppelte Feier.
Der 3. Geburtstag von GRAN CANARIA PETS und die 500 Hunde, die angenommen wurden !!!!! 
Wir sind sehr stolz darauf, und um zu feiern, hatten wir einer Mahlzeit mit einer Gruppe von Freunden, Gründer, Tierärzte, Pflegefamilien, Freiwillige.
Es war sehr schön, zusammen zu sein, vereint für die Liebe der Tiere und für die Zusammenarbeit in Gran Canaria Pets.
Wir hoffen, jahrelang fortzusetzen, und weiterhin noch viele Hündchen retten !!!!!!

SALIDA DE - DEPARTURE OF - ABFLUG VON: BOY Y NINO

Hoy  salieron hacia su nueva vida en Alemania BOY y NINO.
BOY lo recogió una colaboradora de Gran Canaria Pets en el momento que iba ser entregado en la puerta de Bañaderos.   NINO estaba recogido en la Perrera de Puerto Rico. Pronto estarán con sus familias definitivas.
Swen y Matthias fueron los padrinos de vuelo.  Muchas gracias por haber ayudado a nuestros pequeños.

Today BOY and NINO left to their new life in Germany.
BOY was taken by one of our collaborator at the moment he was going to make his entrance in the dog-pound Bañaderos. NINO was left in the dog-pound in Puerto Rico. Soon they will be with their forever family`s. 
Swen and Matthias were the flight attendants. Many thanks for helping our little ones. 

Heute sind BOY und NINO zu ihrem neuen Leben in Deutschland abgereist.
BOY wurde von einem unserer Mitarbeiter genommen, am Moment das er abgegeben wurde bei der Tür von der Tötungsstation Bañaderos. NINO wurde beim das Tierheim in Puerto Rico verlassen. Bald werden sie mit ihrer für immer Familien sein.
Swen und Matthias waren die Flugbegleitern. Vielen Dank für die Unterstützung unserer Kleinen.

They are looking for responsible adoption for him and who will take good care of him. He is a very happy and sweet boy.

BULLDOG INGLES. QUEEN, UNA VIDA DESGRACIADA......... NECESITA UN FINAL FELIZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - QUEEN, AN ENGLISH BULLDOG WITH A MISERABLE PAST....... NEEDS A HAPPY END!!!!! - QUEEN, EIN ENGLISHE BULLDOG MIT EINER MISERABLEN VERGANGENHEIT....... BRAUCHT EIN HAPPY END !!!!!

Es una viejita que ha sido utilizada toda su vida para criar. Fue sacada de las instalaciones del criador en donde vivía en unas condiciones lamentables. Es muy dulce pero un poco cabezona, alcanza a bajar las mantas para acostarse, parece que se te come la mano cuando le das algo exquisito, se cabrea con la gata, te pone ojitos de buena cuando la riñes... Está cojita y camina tambaleándose pero  está mas ágil de lo que parece. Necesita una familia cariñosa que tenga paciencia y sepa que Queen es mayor y va a necesitar cuidados.

She is an older lady that has been used all her life to breed. She was taken from the facility of the breeder where she lived in terrible conditions. She is very sweet but a little bit stubborn, she reaches down the blankets to lay down, seems to eat your hand when you give something exquisite, she gets angry with the cat, gives you good eyes when you give her a scolding..... She is limping and walks unsteadily but is more agile than it looks. She needs a loving family who will be patient and knows that Queen is older and will need care.

Sie ist eine ältere Dame, die ihr ganzes Leben zu züchten verwendet wurde. Sie wurde aus der Anlage des Züchters genommen, wo sie unter schrecklichen Bedingungen lebte. Sie ist sehr süß, aber ein bisschen dickköpfig, sie reicht die Decken hinunter, im sich hin zulegen, scheint, Ihre Hand zu essen, wenn Sie etwas Exquisites geben, sie bekommt böse auf die Katze, gibt Ihnen gute Augen, wenn Sie ihr eine Schelte geben..... Sie hinkt und läuft unsicher, aber ist beweglicher als es anschaut. Sie braucht eine liebevolle Familie, die geduldig sein wird, und weiß, dass Queen älter ist, und Pflege benötigt.

SALIDA DE - DEPARTURE OF - ABFLUG VON: SHANA, HONEY, JOE Y JOSH

4 PERROS MAS SALVADOS !!!!!
Hoy le tocó viajar a HONEY (encontrado en muy mal estado con el cuello seccionado y sin fuerzas para caminar), a JOE y JOSH, (dos hermanos recogidos en la Perrera de Puerto Rico) y a SHANA (su dueña se fue fuera de la isla y no podía cuidarla mas).
Ya todos están curados, por dentro y por fuera, además son muy jóvenes y pronto olvidarán su mala vida anterior.   Ahora ya están en Alemania y pronto estarán con sus familias definitivas.
Mucha suerte a nuestros pequeños y muchas gracias a Noelia, nuestra  primera madrina de vuelo española !!!!!!!!!

4 DOGS MORE RESCUED!!!
Today were able to travel: HONEY (found in very poor condition with sectioned neck and no strength to walk), JOE and JOSH (two brothers from the dog-pound in Puerto Rico) and SHANA (her owner left the island and could no longer take care of her).
They are all cured now, in- and outside, and they are all still very young and soon they will forget the bad life they had before. They are now in Germany and soon they will be with their forever family.
Good luck to our little ones and many thanks to Noelia, our first Spanish flight attendant!!! 

4 HUNDE MEHR GERETTET!!! 
Heute waren in der Lage zu Reisen: HONEY (gefunden in einem sehr schlechten Zustand mit geschnittener Hals und keine Kraft zu laufen), JOE und JOSH (zwei Brüder aus dem Tierheim in Puerto Rico) und SHANA (ihre Besitzerin die Insel verlassen und konnte nicht mehr um sie kümmern).
Sie sind alle jetzt geheilt, innen und außen, und sie sind alle noch sehr jung, und bald werden sie das schlechte Leben vergessen, das sie vorher hatten. Sie sind jetzt in Deutschland und bald werden sie mit ihrer Familie für immer sein. 
Viel Glück für unsere Kleinen und vielen Dank an Noelia, unserem ersten spanischen Flugbegleiterin !!! 

PERRO ENCONTRADO EN 1º DE MAYO - DOG FOUND IN LAS PALMAS - HUND GEFUNDEN IN LAS PALMAS

Hemos recibido un email de Desirée que nos dice que acaba  de encontrar este perro en la calle 1º de Mayo. Le ha dado agua y comida que le hacían mucha falta al pobre. No tiene microchip. El perrito pesa 17 kilos, tiene una enfermedad en la piel, es bastante tranquilo aunque gruñe un poco. Se dejó bañar y pasea bastante bien con la correa.
 Busca una familia que lo quiera y lo cuide porque ella no puede.

We received an email from Desirée telling us that she just found this dog in calle 1º de Mayo, Las Palmas. She gave him water and food, because he really needed it. He has no microchip. He weighs 17 kilos, has a skin disease, is quite relax, although he growls a little bit. He let you bath him and he goes quite good on a leash.
She is looking for a loving family for him who will take care of him, because she can not. 

Wir haben eine E-Mail von Desirée erhalten, und sie erzählt uns, dass sie gerade diesen Hund in calle 1º de Mayo, Las Palmas gefunden hat.Sie hat ihm Wasser und Essen gegeben, weil er es wirklich gebraucht hat. Er hat keinen Mikrochip. Er wiegt 17 Kilo, hat eine Hautkrankheit, ist ziemlich ruhig, obwohl er ein kleines bisschen knurrt. Er hat sich baden lassen, und er geht ziemlich gut spazieren an einer Leine.
Sie sucht eine liebevolle Familie für ihn, der für ihn sorgen wird, weil sie nicht kann.

FLORIS: NUEVA ENTRADA - NEW ENTRANCE - NUEZUGANG

 Presentamos a FLORIS !
El es todavía un cachorro de casi 4 meses. Le queda aun  un par de meses para seguir creciendo y seguro que va a ser un perro de tamaño medio a grande una vez adulto.
Es muy cariñoso y juguetón de acuerdo con su edad.
Ya está aprendiendo a hacer sus necesidades fuera durante los paseos.
FLORIS ya tiene sus vacunas y chip y está listo para su adopción.

We present to you FLORIS!
He is still a puppy, about 4 months old. Once he is a adult, he will be mid to big size. He is very loving and playful according his age. He is now learning to do his needs outside during his walks. FLORIS is already vaccinated and chipped, and he is ready to be adopted.

Er ist noch ein Welpe, ca. 4 Monate alt. Sobald er Erwachsen ist, wird er Mitte zur großen Größe sein. Er ist sehr liebevoll und verspielt nach seinem Alter. Er lernt jetzt, seine Bedürfnisse draußen zu tun während seiner Spaziergänge. FLORIS ist bereits geimpft und gechipt, und er ist bereit, angenommen zu werden.

MAMA Y 6 BEBES ENTRAN EN GRAN CANARIA PETS - MAMMY AND 6 BABIES, NEW ENTRANCE - MAMA UND 6 BABYS, NEUER EINGANG

El año pasado por estas fechas tuvimos un caso en Sardina del Norte.  Una perra completamente "salvaje" había parido.  Primero encontramos uno de sus cachorritos (Alana) y mas tarde otros 2 en muy mal estado (Tex y Mex).(Hoy todos felizmente adoptados)
Intentamos coger a la madre de todas las formas posibles. Engañándola con comida, acorralándola, corriendo tras de ella por riscos, con pastillas para dormirla, metiéndola en un cercado, ..............todo inútil.
Hace unos días nos avisaron unos vecinos de la zona que había parido otra vez 6 cachorros !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Una señora que le da de comer se ha ganado su confianza y cuidaba toda la prole.
Ahora si hemos podido cogerla !!!  Ya está castrada y la señora se la quiere quedar porque le ha cogido cariño.
Los 6 bebés ya están en Gran Canaria Pets.  1 niño y 5 niñas.  Nacieron el 14 de Septiembre y están preciosos.
Son HIRO-SHIMA-HIMA-LAYA-SIRI-LANKA.

Last year around this time we had a case in Sardina del Norte. A completely "wild" dog had given birth. First we found one of her puppies (Alana) and later we found two more (Tex and Mex) in very bad conditions (now all happily adopted). 
We tried to catch the mother in every possible way. Cheating her with food, running behind her with risks, giving pills to sedate her....... all useless. 
A few days ago one of the neighbours of this area warned us, that she gave birth again of 6 puppies!!!!!!
A lady who was feeding her, had gained her trust and took care of the entire litter.
Now we were able to catch her!!! She is now spayed and the lady wants to keep her because she has became fond of her. 
The 6 puppies are now with GCP. 1 boy and 5 girls. They were born on September 14 and they are beautiful.
We named them: HIRO-SHIMA-HIMA-LAYA-SIRI-LANKA.

Letztes Jahr um diese Zeit hatten wir einen Fall in Sardina del Norte. Ein ganz "Wilder" Hund gebar. Zuerst fanden wir einen ihrer Welpen (Alana) und später fanden wir zwei weitere (Tex und Mex) unter sehr schlechten Bedingungen (jetzt alle glücklich angenommen). Wir haben versucht, die Mutter in jeder möglichen Weise zu fangen. Wir versuchten sie mit Lebensmitteln zu täuschen, hinter ihr zu laufen mit Risiken, das Geben von Pillen, um sie zu beruhigen...... alles sinnlos. 
Vor ein paar Tagen hat einer der Nachbarn dieses Bereiches uns gewarnt, dass sie wieder von 6 Welpen gebar!!!!!! 
Eine Dame, die sie fütterte, hatte ihr Vertrauen gewonnen und kümmerte sich um die ganze Wurf.
Jetzt waren wir in der Lage, sie zu fangen !!! Sie ist jetzt sterilisiert und die Dame will sie behalten, weil sie zärtlich von ihr geworden ist. Die 6 Welpen sind jetzt mit GCP. 1 Junge und 5 Mädchen. Sie wurden am 14. September geboren und sie sind wunderschön.
Wir nannten sie: HIRO-SHIMA-HIMA-LAYA-SIRI-LANKA.

 Otro día feliz para 6 de nuestros perritos!!
Esta vez salieron con los Padrinos de vuelo Sandra & Sven ! Ellos llevaron también el año pasado y esta vez durante su vacaciones en la isla no pudo ser diferente!
Gracias también por vuestra gran ayuda (casi todos los días) en la perrera de Puerto Rico!
Como pueden ver, todos llegaron bien a Alemania y parece que allí ya llegó el frío!!!Deseamos mucha suerte a los perros y damos las gracias a todas las casas de acogidas, sus salvadores, veterinarios y a nuestros contactos en Alemania! Sin todos ellos no sería posible ofrecerles una vida digna y llena de felicidad!

Another happy day for 6 of our dogs!!
This time they were able to leave with the flight attendants Sandra & Sven! Last year they also took dogs on their flight. Thank you for your big help (almost every day) at the dog-pound in Puerto Rico! 
As you can see, they all arrived well in Germany, and it seems like that the cold arrived there!!! We wish all the dogs good luck, and we thank the foster homes, the rescuers, veterinarians and our contacts in Germany! Without them, it would not be possible to offer them a dignified life full of happiness!

Wieder ein glücklicher Tag für 6 unseren Hunden!! Dieses Mal konnten Sie mitgehen der Flugbegleitern Sandra & Sven! Letztes Jahr nahmen sie auch Hunde auf ihren Flug. Vielen Dank für Ihre große Hilfe (fast täglich) im Tierheim in Puerto Rico! Wie Sie sehen können, sind sie alle gut in Deutschland angekommen, und es scheint, dass die Kälte dorthin angekommen ist!!! Wir wünschen allen Hunden viel Glück, und wir bedanken uns bei den Pflegeheimen, die Retter, Tierärzten und unsere Kontakte in Deutschland!
Ohne sie wäre es nicht möglich, ihnen ein würdiges Leben voller Glück anzubieten!
