On Monday the 22nd of October Betty arrived in the dog-pound Puerto Rico. She almost had no hair, her skin was very irritated and she had still milk left from recently giving birth. GRAN CANARIA PETS took charge of her so she did not had to stay at the dog-pound. Once in the foster home we noticed that she had a scar of a recent operation on her belly! The birth went wrong? They didn`t want her any more because she could not have more litters and continue their business? She had no microchip.... and nobody asked for her...
Am Montag, den 22.Oktober, kam Betty im Tierheim Puerto Rico an. Sie hatte kaum noch Fell, ihre Haut war stark gereizt und sie hatte noch Milch weil sie kurz zuvor geworfen hatte. GRAN CANARIA PETS nahm sie in Obhut, daher musste sie nicht länger im Tierheim bleiben. Als sie in ihrer Pflegestelle war, stellten wir fest, dass sie eine frische OP-Narbe am Bauch hatte! Ging die Geburt schief? Wollten sie sie nicht mehr weil sie keine Welpen mehr haben kann und sie ihr „Geschäft“ fortführen wollen? Sie hatte keinen Mikrochip…. und niemand erkundigte sich nach ihr……..
El veterinario nos confirmó que le habían hecho una cesárea, que la falta de pelo podría ser por un problema hormonal y la piel tan irritada y seca por falta de buenos cuidados y alimentos y por estar mucho en el sol .Y como pueden ver en las fotos... el pelo volvió a salir y desapareció la irritación de la piel.
BETTY turn out to be a very happy dog, but she was not educated to do her needs outside on the street, she had a great need of love..... and she had to learn living inside a house and with family. The vet confirmed us that she had a caesarean, that the lack of hair could be a hormonal problem and the so irritated and dry skin is due to lack of good care and food and being much in the sun.
BETTY erwies sich als sehr fröhlicher Hund, aber ihr wurde nicht beigebracht, ihre Notdurft auf der Straße zu verrichten. Sie hatte einen großen Nachholbedarf an Liebe…. und musste sich an das Leben bei einer Familie in einem Haus erst gewöhnen. Wie uns der Tierarzt bestätigte, hatte sie einen Kaiserschnitt hinter sich. Das Fehlen der Haare hat eine hormonelle Ursache und die gereizte und trockene Haut ist auf Mangel an Pflege und Ernährung sowie zu viel Sonne zurückzuführen. Und wie man auf den Fotos erkennen kann, ist das Fell wieder da und die Hautreizungen sind verschwunden.
Hoy día 1 de diciembre era su gran día! Viajó junto con otros afortunados a tierras Suecas!
