DALIA fue encontrada hace un par de semanas en el norte de la isla, dormía debajo de una higuera.
Le dieron refugio y comida, pero DALIA entró en celo y el terreno no estaba cerrado!
Los perros del barrio entraron y estamos seguros de que fue montada por varios. DALIA ahora está en una casa de acogida y la llevamos al veterinario. Cuando la vacunamos su test de sangre indicó que era positiva en Filaria y AnaPlasma. Ahora le espera primero una esterilización y posteriormente un largo y doloroso tratamiento contra la Filaria. Para la AnaPlasma también necesita tomar mínimo un mes de antibióticos.
Después de vivir toda su (corta) vida en el campo le tocó aprender a vivir dentro de la casa. La convivencia con otros animales (perros y gatos) no dio problemas ninguno! Pero es difícil entender que dentro de la casa no se hace pis ni caca! DALIA es lista y tardó 2 días en aprender que estas cositas necesita hacerlas durante sus 4 paseos fuera a diario!

They gave her shelter and food, but DALIA went into heat and the property was not closed!
The dogs in the neighbourhood went in and we are sure that she was covered by several. DALIA is now in a foster home and we took her to the veterinarian. The blood-test came out positive with heart-worm and anaplasmosis. Now she will be first sterilized and later she will have a long and painful treatment for the heart-worm. For the anaplasmosis she has to take antibiotics for at least a month.
After living all her (short) life in the field, she now has to learn to live in a house. Living together with other dogs and cats didn`t give any problems. But it was difficult for her to understand that inside the house you do not pee or poo! But DALIA is very smart and it took her only 2 days to understand that you have to do your needs during the 4 daily walks!
DALIA wurde vor ein paar Wochen in den Norden der Insel gefunden, schlafend unter einem Feigenbaum.
Sie gaben ihr Schutz und Nahrung, aber Dalia ging in Hitze und das Grundstück war nicht geschlossen! Die Hunde in der Nachbarschaft sind hinein gegangen und wir sind sicher, dass sie von mehreren gedeckt wurde. DALIA ist jetzt in einem Pflegestelle und wir nahmen sie zum Tierarzt. Die Blutprobe war Positiv mit Herzen-wurm und Anaplasmosis. Jetzt wird sie zuerst sterilisiert werden und später wird sie eine lange und schmerzhafte Behandlung für den Herz-wurm haben. Für die Anaplasmose muss sie mindestens einen Monat lang Antibiotika nehmen.
Nachdem ihres ganzen (kurzen) Leben im Feld zu leben, muss sie jetzt lernen, in einem Haus zu leben. Das Leben zusammen mit anderen Hunden und Katzen hat keine Probleme gegeben. Aber es war schwierig für sie zu verstehen, dass im Inneren des Hauses die Bedürfnisse nicht gemacht werden! Aber DALIA ist sehr intelligent und es dauerte nur 2 Tage, zu verstehen, dass Sie Ihre Bedürfnisse während der 4 täglichen Spaziergänge tun müssen!
